This ad about says it all. I wonder how Alexi Giannoulias can possibly be the best the Illinois establishment has to run this election cycle. It’s kind of sad really.

Vote “NO” on Kirk Dillard
In case you haven’t noticed, there are still six Republican candidates vying for governor of our fine State. Rather than endorse one candidate, I would rather- in this particular contest- give you food for thought in voting against one. That lucky guy is Kirk Dillard. What beef could I have with one of the most endorsed Big-R candidates running this election cycle? There are a ton of reasons but none greater than the fact that he is part of the Illinois State party establishment. Read more
Revisiting Burris’ Senate Seat
Given Scott Brown’s recent victory, I have felt compelled to revisit the Republican primary for Burris’ U.S. Senate seat. I had initially written off the primaries as an automatic lock for a Mark Kirk-Alexi Giannoulias battle. Would I prefer to have Kirk over Giannoulias? Absolutely. Afterall, Alexi is a stonewalling, bank-failing, double-talking product of the Chicago political machine. Kirk is left-of-center instead of being utterly liberal. The truth of the matter is that this is just another case of voting for the lesser of two evils. Just because Mark is better than Alexi for our country and our State does not mean he is good… for anything. Scott Brown’s victory has reminded me that I don’t always have to play the political game where you vote for who you think is electable instead of voting for who you think is best for the job. Kirk Dillard, Champion for Autism and the Environment

Illinois gubernatorial candidate Kirk Dillard is probably being golf-clapped by every candidate running against him for a second major flip-flop in less than a couple of months. In case you hadn’t heard, Dillard recently pulled his support from a plan that would bring Navistar International, formerly International Harvester, and their 800 new jobs to Lisle, IL. He did so out of concern for the environment and the autistic school, Giant Steps of Illinois, located 120 yards to the east of the proposed site. Doesn’t it sound principled? Read more
