Time to Get Stimulated

Bad Math in Illinois Schools

Thus far, Illinois has been awarded over $6.4 billion in federal stimulus funds.  Per the most recent report I could find (www.recovery.gov), Illinois had received just under $2.5 billion.  Of that total, $1.25 billion was directed at schools throughout Illinois, which sounds pretty good.  Afterall, if the money is going to be spent, it might as well be “invested” in the state’s youth.  Unfortunately Read more
